MAO was formed in January 2025, to cross-pollinate the mutual aid networks in Omaha, so they may grow.

Since that time, we have connected many newcomers to on-the-ground grassroots movements.

We reject the capitalist hegemony, and believe in socialist, communist, anarchist ideals; therefore, we are left of liberals.

MAO will never promote any events based in electoralism, or writing of congressman, because we understand that to be a dead end. We have enough self-respect to not beg for change.

We’re here to empower our community to take real, actionable steps that make material differences in our world.

We help projects in our area that align with our principles.
