MACE MEETUP

"We are here because our survival is bound together.
Not charity, but solidarity.
We are not service providers and clients.
We are neighbors taking care of neighbors,
building the kind of world we actually want to live in.
Acts of care are acts of resistance to systems that leave people behind.
Showing up consistently, even for small things, sustains movements.
No one here is in charge, and everyone here is responsible."

Omaha Free Pride Potluck Picnic

Omaha needed a Pride that does not kowtow to the CWS, and actually takes place during Pride month, a Pride that does not allow genocidal Zionists to participate, a Pride that does not commodify our sexuality.

So here it is, a Pride event that gets back to our roots! Scheduled on the 57th Anniversary of the StoneWall Riots.

We will have Karaoke, the grills fired up, a full potluck setup, various games, and we will also be giving away prizes for the winners in our Rainbow Brick Throwing Contest.

If you’d like to contribute to additional activities, resources,
or logistics for this potluck - please drop us a line!!!

A DM on our Instagram would be replied to fastest, @Mutual_Aid_Omaha.
We do do email… however not often. Und3t3rr3d@MutualAidOmaha.org ←Skrt skrting the bots. Swap the 3’s for E’s.

We seem to be getting a lot of interest in this event since we posted it on Insta.

We will need help scaling up. We have one more weekly MACE meeting leading up to this event, which is today June 17th, at Downtown Library, Room 206, 530-730.

March to CWS - Freedom Summer 2026

This March to CWS is in response to the gutting of the

Voting Rights Act. Last years March on CWS was disruptive enough to

capital that the city of Omaha responded by passing noise ordinances

specifically stating no sound amplification devices such as megaphones

microphones or even DRUMS are allowed within 100 feet of the CWS now,

unless they are permitted part of the event.

Has percussion of non-drum items been outlawed?

Where does the 100' mark start from?

Is the peoples' mic (call and response of our collective voices) an outlawed

form of sound amplification?

Questions to be answered with action..

In response to the tyranny of capital, this march will be an exercise in

malicious compliance.

We will be using our voices in call and response lead by

@singingresistanceomametro (←IG)

For our most radical of rabblerousers that plan on coming: Please respect

the wishes of the organizers to stay disciplined in being loud with the

songs, and that escalations amidst this march could become a danger to

our racially marginalized, and physically vulnerable participants. Think

about community members like the Pissed off Grannies who do not want to

face the full brutality of police repression.

There will also be lyric sheets handed out before the march.

Please pass this on.

Supper Share Spring Soup Swap

Supper Share Spring Soup Swap

Soup season is allegedly ending.

The calendar says spring.

The sun is getting ideas (or it was last week?)

People are whispering about salads.
Frankly… it’s a tragedy.

But we refuse to surrender soup to the march of time.
So in a small act of culinary resistance, we’re hosting a Spring Soup Swap — and it will also be Supper Share’s first ever community potluck.

Bring a soup if you feel inspired.
Or bring bread, toppings, dessert, or drinks if that’s more your speed.

Come taste a suspicious number of soups and meet the neighbors who made them.

And if anyone tries to claim soup is only for winter, kindly remind them that gazpacho exists.

All donations to the Omaha Supper Share
project can be made “@TheSupperShare”

Unlicensed Practice of Karaoke

Unlicensed Practice of Karaoke

“OTU wants to extend our thanks to everyone who has supported us over the past year in our struggle against the Nebraska landlord lobby. As you all know, we recently learned that the bogus charges of Unlicensed Practice of Law brought about by the landlord lobby and their co-conspirators were dismissed. But Omaha Tenants United didn't just defeat these ghouls, Omaha did. We could not have accomplished this without the generous outpouring of support we received from the greater Omaha community.

As such, we want to have some fun and give back a little. To celebrate will be hosting a party at 0leavers basement on 4/11/26, including a little karaoke action. All attendees will be given two free drinks on Omaha Tenants United. We look forward to celebrating this historic victory with you all and getting to know some of you who we haven't met. This is also a great opportunity to meet some OTU organizers, and learn how you can get involved in the struggle against the landlord class! We hope to see you all there!

***lf we don’t already know you, simply say the phrase "Dead Kennedys Track Number 4" at the door and you will given 2 free drink tickets and an opportunity to show off your karaoke skills***

See you all on April 11th!”

Meshcore Potluck

Join us to meet with a resident Meshcore aficionado to discuss in-depth the nuances of the mesh network, and collaborate on implementing public solar-powered mesh nodes all over Omaha.

We have now met 20% of our fundraising goal and are preparing to make our first bulk purchase of components to install around town. If you’d like to add on to the order for your own personal end-client node, that can be arranged too. Averages about $35-60, depending on what you want. We are ordering the individual parts, then hosting a workshop to solder them together, together!
So as to make it most cost efficient.

If you’d like to add a node for yourself on to the order, have any questions,
would like to bring a dish &/or coordinate with us, reach out!
via: undeterred@mutualaid0maha.0rg
(Swap ZER0’s for O’s. Avoiding email skim bots)

We may need people to bring extra folding chairs with them if we exceed table capacity (30).
Room capacity is 40.

Support the Resolution at Open Forum

Mark your calendars, to throw a wrench into the war machine!

Student Senate is hosting an open forum on March 26th, 7pm, at UNO Mammel Hall - Room #113 to speak on weapons divestment! The university is too invested in industry that has not been held accountable and is unethical for an academic institution to be profiting from. We could easily make more ethical investments. Bring everyone you know who is passionate about peace and speak up. You don’t have to be a student to join this forum. It is open to the whole community!
